part 1

Part 1: The Theory Test

The part 1 exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions, along with a hazard perception test.  This test is based on,and very similar to the theory test learners currently undertake, but includes questions on a much wider range of topics.

We will supply all the material you will need to prepare for the theory, including cd-roms, the official DSA materialand a hard copy of the DSA questions.

You should begin your part 1 study as soon as possible, so that you can apply for your part 1 exam as soon as you receive confirmation that you have entered on the DSA register of driving instructors.

Typically, around 66% of our trainees complete this exam on the first attempt, with good preparation and by completing lots of mock test, this stage of your training shouldn't be too difficult.

Timescale for the part 1 test should be approximately 6-8 weeks.
